Freshwater aquarium snails are an important part of many planted aquariums and shrimp tanks. Many species help consume algae, leftover food, and organic debris while adding unique behavior and interesting shell patterns to the aquarium.
This collection includes a variety of popular aquarium snails such as Nerite snails and Rabbit snails (Tylomelania), along with other specialty freshwater species commonly kept by aquascaping and shrimp hobbyists.
Many freshwater snails coexist well with dwarf shrimp such as Neocaridina and Caridina species. In planted aquariums they often graze on algae and biofilm found on rocks, wood, and plant surfaces.
Snails are commonly used as part of a natural cleanup crew in aquascaped aquariums.
