Dwarf cichlids are popular because they combine strong personality, territorial behaviour, breeding interest, and vivid appearance in a smaller aquarium footprint than many larger cichlids. They are especially attractive in mature planted tanks with fine sand, wood, leaf litter, caves, and visual cover that allow natural behaviour to develop.

All dwarf cichlids are carefully quarantined and conditioned to our stable local tap water before sale. Because breeding behaviour and sensitivity vary by species, we still recommend a mature aquarium, stable maintenance, appropriate hiding places, and careful tankmate selection.
