Danios are generally active, social fish that display best when kept in groups. Larger or faster danios bring strong movement to community aquariums, while smaller species such as Celestial Pearl Danios and Emerald Dwarf Danios are excellent choices for mature planted nano aquariums, aquascapes, and peaceful community setups.

Killifish offer a different type of appeal. Species such as Aphyosemion and Nothobranchius are often kept as pairs or specialty display fish, valued for vivid male colour, interesting breeding behaviour, and top-level activity. Because many killifish are excellent jumpers, a secure lid is strongly recommended.

All Danios and Killifish at Topick Aquarium are carefully quarantined and conditioned to our stable local tap water before sale. Although individual species may come from different natural habitats, we prioritize stability, gradual acclimation, healthy feeding, and mature aquarium systems before fish become available to customers.

For colourful strains and mature males, colour comes from genetics, age, health, and proper conditioning. Topick Aquarium does not use hormones or dye to artificially enhance fish colour.
