Cardinal Tetra (Paracheirodon axelrodi)
The Cardinal Tetra, with its vibrant blue and red striping, is one of the most popular and recognizable freshwater fish in the aquarium hobby. Their bright neon colors run the length of their bodies, setting them apart from the similar Neon Tetra, where the colors only run halfway.
We have subjected our Cardinal Tetras to an intensive quarantine procedure lasting over 2 months. They are currently robustly acclimated to tap water and exhibit radiant colors, full finnage, and excellent body shape, demonstrating their prime health.
- Vibrant blue and red stripe coloration
- Peaceful nature, making them suitable for community tanks
- Active schooling fish, adding vibrancy to any aquarium
How to Keep:
Cardinal Tetras thrive in tanks that replicate their native Amazonian habitat. This includes soft, slightly acidic water, dense plantations, and dim lighting. They are best kept in schools of 6 or more and can be fed a diet of high-quality flake food mixed with occasional live or frozen foods.
