Phoenix Tetra
Phoenix Tetra (Hemigrammus filamentosus)
Description:
The Phoenix Tetra is a beautifully radiant species with a fiery play of colors, reflecting hues of orange, red, and sometimes a shimmering blue, reminiscent of the mythical Phoenix bird. Their agile movements and active nature make them a captivating sight in a community tank.
Special Note:
Our collection of Phoenix Tetras has been through rigorous quarantine procedures for over 2 months. They are now well-acclimated to tap water, with complete and vibrant finnage, embodying excellent health and fullness in body shape.
Features:
- Breathtaking fiery coloration
- Active swimmers, adding dynamism to aquariums
- Suitable for community tanks with peaceful inhabitants
How to Keep:
Phoenix Tetras prefer tanks with a mix of open swimming spaces and densely planted areas. Their colors intensify with a darker substrate and subdued lighting. While they're not particularly finicky eaters, a diet of high-quality flake food, combined with occasional live or frozen treats, ensures their optimal health. Keeping them in schools of 6 or more amplifies their natural behavior and beauty.
