Schizolecis guntheri is a small, lesser-known South American loricariid catfish native to clear, fast-flowing streams of southeastern Brazil. Often compared to Otocinclus in size and behavior, this species is appreciated for its subtle beauty, peaceful temperament, and excellent algae-grazing habits. Its slender body and understated pattern make it a perfect fit for naturalistic, planted, or river-style aquariums.
